I have one. Just make sure it is trimmed to a proper length and neatly kept. Don't look like one of those hipster morons who sport unkept beards that look like pubes glued onto their face.

I go clean. If I were to have one I would make sure it's incredibly well-groomed like Justin Verlander's. Do not for the love of God, grow your beard like. Muslim.

many women are attracted to beards as it is a trait of masculinity that they are subconsciously wired to see as attractive. Like how many guys are attracted to large breasts

Some women think beards are itchy and gross. I maintain a beard since my late 20's that I trim with a 1" with the clippers every week and i shave my neckbeard and failstache every other day or every 2 days. I wasn't even able to fully grow a beard until 26 or so.. it was always patchy before

As a 27 year old i can tell you stay away from beards. I had it 2 times (both over 3 inches long) and girls loved them, then I shaved it and they liked me better without it. The first time i grew it out was in vegas and the second in san antonio. 2 different pools of women, same reaction. Do it if you want but they will always like it better without, unless your face is fucked up.

I have a beard. Women who are into them really love men with beards (and it seems like there are a lot).

Only grow one if it's a nice beard (thick, not whispy, and well-groomed).

In my experience, most women like a little stubble. Clean shaven is one extreme and a beard is the other end. It depends on the shape of your face but you should experiment and see what kind of comments you get. You usually can't go wrong with a little stubble though.

If it's patchy, keep it shaved clean.

If it's full, keep it trimmed and clean.

If you don't want it, keep it shaved clean.

Personally, I look like a mountain man (in a bad way) with a long beard. I shave the neck and cheeks, trim the rest to a 2, and enjoy something between "long stubble" and "full beard"

I'm 19 and can grow a pretty full featured beard in about a few weeks. Both of the girls I've had serious relationships with have said "I hate the beard" Both of them secretly liked it when I tickled them with it and grabbed their hand and had them scratch it. If you have a beard, and they show interest, they're already past whatever bullshit comes out of their mouth about not liking it.

Edit: keep it trimmed, keep it neat, keep it reasonably lengthed, most girls will be indifferent or into it

I wear a full beard. Not "grandfather" length, but full, like this, or a bit longer. (Full Disclosure: I look nothing like Ben Affleck)

There are some women who LOVE beards; my 20 y.o. plate would love to nuzzle her face in my beard for hours if I let her. I like to see her in thigh highs, and she likes to put her face in my beard. Fair trade. /grin

If you keep your beard properly groomed and clean, you'll be fine. No crumbs in your beard from the seafood special. I have an old school barber and when I go for a haircut I also have him trim my beard, and then I do whatever maintenance is needed in between haircuts.

Beards are markers of masculinity and, on an older man, wisdom. Every so often, someone will try to smart mouth you about having a beard, usually if it's gotten longer or scruffy. When that happens, I say, "There is a word for people without beards. That word is 'Women,'" which is typically terminates that line of inquiry.

Also, bear in mind that facial hair is more accepted in different cultures, notably Slavic and Arab. For example, in MC Doni's song "Beard" the female vocal translates as "Do you have a beard? I will say yes to you. I will say yes to you. If you don't have a beard then my answer is no."

There is also a RUSSKAJA song called "Beard" which is about the singer's joy at finally being able to grow a beard.

So with Slavic women, a beard is often a plus (on a man, not on the women. Usually you have to be in Lebanon for that.)

It's a great polarizer. If you have a good beard then some women love it and gravitate towards it. Women will open you and so on. But despite having a great beard I feel more comfortable and get better results shaved.
