Good program, I can tell you it works, but it takes a lot of energy and you have to stick to it. I did the first three weeks and leaned down enough to notice, but work got crazy busy and I stopped because I couldn't think straight. I'll stand by it though, I wouldn't mind starting again someday. Do yourself a favor and get the weights, resistance bands aren't that good.

But you can walk downhill. Backwards. On your hands. With ankle weights.

Its great. Try this for a year: 3 months p90x. 2 months insanity. 7 months heavy lifting. You'll be a new man.

Build muscle first, then do p90x. P90x is more for maintaining muscle and toning then building it.

Work up a good Push, Pull, Legs workout using compound exercises and focus on your diet. I would recommend this instead of P90x.

Short term? fanstatic for getting into the habit of working out. will lose weight if diet plan if followed. Some muscle will be built if you are constantly using heavier weights and harder body weight variations.
Long term? Join and gym and follow a weight training program to a T with proper form.
