If you need an excuse for cold approach, you are doing it wrong. Walk up and say whatever is on your mind and strike up a conversation.

Something like that would 100% depend on your vibe. If you put off the wrong vibe even slightly, you'll be considered a creep.

If you do try it, make sure you approach with big smiles, big body language, super excitement, etc. "Hey! I saw you over there and I like for real I REALLY dig your look! I'm a photographer. Can I take your pic?" etc.

But... Honestly I don't think it's a good approach. It puts you into beta provider role immediately. Every girl wants professional photographs, and you're basically giving her something of value, in exchange for them existing.

Up to you, I personally don't like the approach.

I'd say keep your hobby and your game separate. If you'd like to invite her to come along on a photoshoot that's fine if she's into photography herself but just know most girls will view it as an opportunity for free Instagram pics.

If you're out and about shooting just walk up to a girl and say, "This is random but I like your style and had to come see if you were as cool as you looked." Then continue like normal. She'll mention the camera, don't do it for her.

You'll be known as the creepy guy with a camera trying to take pictures of girls. Don't do it.

Outside of your school maybe but definitely not inside.

Only way would be if you actually had a role as a photographer for the school paper, etc - then you have an excuse.

Keep in mind there’s a big difference in a photographer cold approaching lots of people (some of whom may turn out to be girls), vs creepy dude with a camera trying to pick up chicks.
