If there is a girl you are interested in having a LTR with, is is better to ask her to be your girlfriend, or wait until she brings up the topic and asks about a possible relationship? From my current point of view, both have their merits. If you ask her first it can be seen as you knowing what you want and acting on your desires (strong, alpha man taking charge), but waiting for her to bring it up to you makes you the gatekeeper to commitment.
