Your text to her was dreadful. Lose the emojis and exclamation marks ('lol' and 'haha' too if they are in your vocabulary). You shouldn't ask if your suggested date time is ok for her. Remember, you are the prize and have given her the rare opportunity to spend intimate time with you.

A better text would have been something like: "Remind me to never play golf hungover again [this line is enough to open the conversation with]. Let's grab that drink on Friday."

And in reply to her text, had it been the same; "Not joking. 8.30 at "X bar"."

Keep it minimal and abstain from texting like a highschooler.

The text you sent her was way too long. Next time , just go with "Sup chick" , "we going out today at x".

We don't know if she is really interested but you can try : "Nope. Be meeting you at Denny's at 8" (or whatever).

Assume the best and say something push/pull like "You and me... Friday... wear something as sexy as I will, but don't expect me to put out."

Here's how I would now respond if I were to have somehow boogered up the initial text that bad:

"no for real - you said you could get a date for fri and we'd double. can u not find a date"

It's not the best, but if y'all were drinking you could slip some misinformation in there.

If you're setting up a "date", you want to have a specific plan already in mind. Something like going to the park, out for froyo/ice cream, hanging out at ur place etc. Don't just leave it at "let's go on a date". Its like a guy in a suit approaching u, chatting u up, then offering an interview for a job this week. Motherfucker what job?? What company? What do you do there?
