In this thread I'm looking for you guys to post seemingly small changes to your lifestyle that have had a considerable positive impact on your quality of life and goals. I'll start:

  • Go to the gym before you start your day rather than after

Its probably been said repeatedly here, but going to the gym before I start my day has increased my mood, my cognitive ability, my motivation, my horniness, my desire, my willingness to be social, my social success, incentive, many other things I can't put in to words.

At first I found it difficult, but after not even a week I was already preferring it. Almost every day I feel like I'm too tired to make it, too tired to do my best in the gym. I'd try to rationalize to myself about how if I went after I'd lift heavier. Not the case. Every single time I've skipped a session I've massively regretted it. As soon as I complete my first warm up set I'm wide awake. I perform better in the mornings. I now go to the gym just to wake up. I've been going 6 days a week (P/P/L, thanks TRP) and my life is significantly better. I used to do SL5x5 or ICF 3 days a week after work and I'd suffer through it. Now I'm reaping the benefits of better lifts and a better life.

On Saturdays I still go early. Gets my ass up and moving about. Ready to not waste a minute of the weekend. It also gets me in the perfect mode for social momentum. It has almost become a crutch replacing alcohol. I dislike drinking at this point. Sometimes I even go Sundays, but I have to force myself to rest as I've found I lift better the following week when I do.

I thought it was worth sharing and reminding you guys. Hopefully this tip helps a few individuals.

Please post some more tips. They can be simple changes or an additional activity. Whatever has had positive impact on your life that you'd like to share. I'm very interested in some more improvements.
