Backstory: Dated a girl for 5 years, lived together for 4. She cheated and lied about it. I ended things and moved out immediately. I haven't had to see her in months and really don't want to see her ever again. Unfortunately, we share mutual friends.

Current Situation: Friends are hosting a Halloween Party. I don't expect my friends to "take sides." I've been hanging out with these guys a lot over the past few months, so the ex most likely knows I will be at this party. One of my friends text me with a heads up that my ex will be at the party tomorrow night.

I have other things I can do tomorrow, several options. However, I want to go to this party and had been planning on it. There is no way I'm going to bitch out because my ex is going to be there. Additionally, she has a new boyfriend, so it's possible that I meet this guy.

Here's where I need advice... I've already decided that I'm going and that I'm going to have my night, pretending that she's not there. When I see her, I plan to treat her as I would any other girl. If she wants to say hello and get a hug, fine. But, aside from that, I don't plan to speak to her. And, if she engages me in conversation, I plan on saying, "I have nothing to say to you." and walking away.

What do you guys think? Any tips/pointers for holding frame? How can I best prepare for this to not ruin/consume my night? Give me a TRP Pep Talk!
