Apologies in advance for the wall of text. For the ones that do, I appreciate y'all taking the time to read it.

So last night I went to this show a friend of mine was performing at. After what was a great show me, him and a bunch of other people decided to go back to his place for a small afterparty. On the way one of the people we were with met this girl and after some convincing, she decided to join us.

At homie's place we were all just chilling and I noticed that one of the guys in the group was trying to get closer to her. No big deal, no-one called dibs or anything. But as he didn't isolate she became more and more involved in our group conversation. We talked about a number of things and in that conversation I started to feel like the attention was shifting to me.

The brother who was trying to get with her I think realized that he wasn't getting anywhere and tried to join in our conversation but really it was just between me and her. That carried on, and when I saw the chance I moved in closer to her and got her to put her number on my phone. She then asked me why I don't have snapchat and proceeded install it for me (yea I'm not about that though). So she started snapping and as she did I snuck in a kiss on the cheek to a "hey!" from her. I brushed it off playfully and she didn't seem to mind.

When the time came to leave we just happened to be leaving at the same time. I thought that would be a perfect time to get her to come home with me. She started saying "no I'm not going to sleep with you tonight. It's a no right now but not in future". Hearing that though just made me want it more so I tried to escalate some more. Made out with her outside my friend's crib and thought I was going to get somewhere. But she was super insistent on it not happening so I just said "ok. well you have my number".

This morning thinking about it, I thought I fucked up and wrote this girl off. But a few minutes ago she just texted me saying "see i told you I'd text you". I'll admit I wasn't expecting it but now that she has I don't really know how to proceed. Should I text back and try to build a bit more rapport or should I just go ahead and try and set a meet and see if I can make something happen this time? Also I'd appreciate some extra insight into how I handled things/ what I could have done better. Thanks
