Good on you for seeking advice on threesomes. Good on you for taking the slow road to that with your LTR as /u/rpswinger said. You do have more options than what you listed.

I've read way too many stories about threesomes gone wrong because they were rushed. Most of the time it's the LTR that experiences intense insecurity and jealousy as /u/fnordsnord mentioned. A key idea is the more Alpha you are the more willing to share you a women will be. Although, in a LTR there is a need for some beta (comfort) even more so in a threesome situation.
