The shit test "edge" would've been her saying: "okay but just as friends though" (ASD). Which you would've replied to with "best friends." (plausible deniability).

In this case, option one would be to yank her orbiter-fishing-net out of the waters and put it all out on the line with: "Not looking for any new friendships. I'll see you when I see you girl. Take care."

People are generally loss-averse. She may react to this. Or she may not. Either way, you have nothing to lose.

Or option two is say "haha, it's just a drink. No motives. Cross my heart." What she says doesn't really matter.

I agree with lietruth. You can either treat it like a shit test and see whatever comes out of it.

Also, why is there a growing consensus of guys adding the girl on Facebook the night after they meet (I've been seeing a lot of posts with the same context here)? I see this as pedestalizing the girl, in that they have to take their own time and make their own way to find them and ask approval to be invited into their life (you're supposed to be the prize). Can't you #close them? Can't you get them to add you on Facebook? Better yet, unless you have High SMV/good social proof, just get rid of social media altogether.

I know you already responded and this is done, but in my experience, I've often had success turning friendly drinks into a hookup. The meeting up as friends gives her plausible deniability, and then when you connect and hook up she can tell you/herself "I don't normally do this" or "I guess it just happened." If you were getting IOIs at the party, then there's a decent chance you could've gotten back into that flirtatious vibe in person rather than through the awkwardness of facebook messenger.

In the future, don't be so upfront about your intentions. The girl usually prefers when the connection happens organically rather than pre-planned. If you try something during friendly drinks and she rejects the move then you know for sure. At which point you can laugh/ignore/forget all about it or tell her you're not looking for new friends.

Not interested. If she initially went along with it, then near the end said "just don't expect to have your way with me" or something, I could see that being a shit test. But the fact that she turned you down right away says it all.
