I've been dating a girl for the past 6 months. We've never made anything official but it's fair to say at this point that there's mutual understanding that it's fairly monogamous (100% on her end, less so on my end). So far everything is going great and I'm considering her as LTR potential. Here are some reasons why:

  • We have sex every time we hang out and the quality is always between 8-10. Sex is pretty much on-demand for me.
  • She has low N-count.
  • She really goes out of her way to make me happy.
  • She pays for more things than me when we hang out.
  • She doesn't party much (0-2x/month).
  • She's capable of being independent.
  • She's fairly homely - cooks, cleans etc.
  • She enjoys the small things in life so it's always fun when we're together.

So what's the problem? The last time we hung out, something came up that looks like a potential red flag for me. I use the word "potential" because I'm not actually sure if it should be a big deal or not but I want to get your guys' opinion on it since I might not be seeing clearly right now.

Basically what happened was the first night we met and slept together (back in August), she told me she's only had sex with 2 guys in her life (she's 27) the last being a married ex-coworker. She also volunteered the information that she and the ex-coworker slept together 2 times with the last time being couple months ago (June).

So last night we were hanging out and the truth surfaced. She said that the two of them actually had sex 7-8 times with some overlap between me and him. She estimates she probably slept with him 1-2 more times within the first few weeks after we first hooked up.

Now, I don't care that she slept with someone else especially since I told her early on that I wasn't looking for anything except to have fun. I don't even blame her for lying about the nature of her relationship with her ex-coworker the first night we met (since we're practically strangers at that point). What bugs me is that she had told me somewhat recently that I was the only person she's been with since we hooked up which I know now is a lie.

What do you guys think? Am I overthinking this and it's not a big deal? Or should I consider it a red flag and maintain plate status indefinitely?
