It's normal to want to feel connected.. especially since men are the true romanticists. I mean, how good would it be if we could put all this nonsense aside and truly connect with women?
The fact of the matter is.. women won't give a fuck about what really matters to us as men. So, we can never put our guard down for a moment. True connection will forever elude us. We have to remind ourselves, else we get knocked in the head by this cruel and heartless world. If you want to express yourself.. it's better to do it among your clique of men.
In short, get it down with your girlfriend. Just forget the other woman.

I've ended my engagement recently man, it's AMAZING how much I crave for the connection I lost. Over and over I have to remind myself how unpleasant the relationship was and the shit I went through, and yet over and over I get myself rationalizing ways to go back.
What's funny is that she screwed up A LOT and I was a pussy, which caused me to resent her hard and fashion myself into a mindset that would never allow a strong connection to flourish again. The connection we had was barely enough to make the relationship BEARABLE, let alone good, and yet I fucking miss it.
I suppose I'm purple pilled here. I might possibly eventually figure out I'm turning old and want kids and get myself into a relationship with just "bearable" connection, but I do hope that I might find someone that allows one as intense as the one I had with my ex on the early days.

At least technically, we're all purple pill in behavior so I think that's normal. TRP is a journey, and during tough times it can seem more like an unachievable goal than what it's supposed to be.
I like to view TRP as a necessary evil. A counter action of sort to balance a lot of unnatural societal/political restructuring that's been exponentially increasing over the past 5, 20, 50+ years. My realistic goal isn't to become 100% red, but to make sure I'm not 100% blue.
Embrace that and you might find a connection easier to make, though you'll be opening yourself up to damage like OP is experiencing and what you've previously experienced.

It's a game. Theres a mechanism to her charisma. You can break it down and analyze it- it's a tool or weapon tuned and honed via practice on hundreds of men.
Underneath the facade you have the same shallow drives all people have. It's skin deep.

Poetic and accurate. Older women know the game. Especially those that have ridden the CC long enough.

You're welcome.
I'm not saying we should deny our nature as the true romanticists completely.
Think about it for a minute. We have something that women will never truly understand and yet crave for. That makes us far more valuable for our ability to instill emotions and feelings women want to feel. Thus, sometimes, we have to take a chance to be true romanticists.
However, I don't think you should do it with the older woman. Just move on.
Maybe I'm not used to the older, charismatic type of girl who knows how to connect deeply and pull it away so quickly. Made my fucking heart hurt bro.
Probably because you're tired of playing the game over and over. You just want someone authentic or genuine to love. I can imagine how that feels and I know how much it hurts. Just, don't expect something like that with women. Wishing you the best.
