do whatever you want. i personally like colognes and i've got a pretty good collection of them over the years. if you want to give them a try i'd recommend "the one" by dolce and gabbana or jaguar pace both are good and cheap and i've gotten a lot of compliments wearing them

These guys give good advice but the shit they suggest tends to be expensive or hard to find. My nose doesn’t really work, but I was recommended this stuff Davidoff you can get at Walmart, drives my girl wild. If you’re a teenager looking for something simple, may be useful for you, YMMV

Check out gent scents on YouTube. Good dude. Will give you lower cost options and tell you if good for younger guys.

Im 44, in winter my stuff is leather and tobacco.. Your age ya want sweeter.

You can get away with one summer and one winter fragrance.

The cologne itself doesn’t matter too much just find something that smells good and learn how to apply it. Spray a little on both your wrists, aswell as the underside of both your ears, right where your jawline starts (think of where someone’s nose would be if they gave you a hug) Get different smells for different occasions.

A good body wash and good antiperspirant should be fine.

I use cologne sometimes but only if I'm going out to be honest.

Another guy in the thread mentioned Nautica Voyage which is known as probably the best starter cologne because it's cheap as fuck but smells great.

As for applying the cologne, everyone has their preference but I personally do both wrists and then where my chest meets my neck

Rule number one of wearing scents: less is more. The less you wear the closer the one indulging your scent has to get.

Buy samples until you work out what you want, what suits you. Lots of online places sell very small amounts for testing.

Have a look on the fragrance reddit to find some advice on something suitable for your age / budget etc.

Try to pick something you like first and foremost. Wear it for you. Work out why you like it. It should compliment you, if it's incongruous other people will notice that. One spray. If you have everything else sorted out then a decent fragrance is just a gentle emphasis, it shouldn't shout and be the main focus.

Try to find something you like that isn't too mainstream, if all your classmates smell the same....

Tip - You want to apply aftershave when your skin is moist (ie after drying off from shower) and apply to warm areas (wrist/neck/elbow well).

Armani - Acqua Di Gio. Very clean & professional scent, good for work/college, maybe school.

Jean Paul Gaultier - sweet and luxurious, a recent bang said I smelled amazing with 2-3 sprays.

Paco Rabanne - One Million, overrated in my opinion but you may like it.

I’ve heard Paul Sebastian is good but haven’t been able to source it.

Also Youtube has lots of reviews and guides on how to apply fragrance to smell good, without reeking of aftershave.
