It might have something to due with traditional sizes of early human tribes.

I am seeing 4 women right now and honestly it's fairly tiring, I might go down to 3. It cant be 95/5 because one dude just doesn't have enough man juice for all those girls.

i think its wrong application talking about 20% of men are alpha if thats what youre suggesting.

if i understood correct application it would be more like two sets of things, where 20% of set 1 affects 80% of set 2.

like: 80% of single women only fuck 20% of single men, even with no statistical backup im sure this is a fair postulate

It's a rule of thumb, not a mathematical law. Try not to overthink it. The idea is to focus on the most efficient methods first, in order of results.

The Pareto principle says 20% of this causes 80% of that. For example 20% of the time you spend working/developing/socializing causes 80% of the desired results.

Never heard of the Zipf mistery but it seems to be a statistical thing?

I am going to take a long shot here and say it may have something to do with pythagoras theory and how the derivative of a right angle equals the sum of all things parallel.

The pareto principle allthough magnificent in it's function, does indeed have it's flaws. Most psychologists held in high esteem, would say that this principle is infact more philosophical or mathmatical than it is psychological. Therefore, in order for this theory to have complete relevance we must assume that the group being analysed has stimulus relevant to the boundaries of the theory itself.
