No, but there are clear differences between dating apps for women. In my city, Tinder has a lot of hotties and tons of fake accounts from people who want to live here (it's a desirable location), Bumble has a weird set of normal girls, OKC is low-class chicks, and Hinge has high-quality career women. I imagine that is similar for men, so be aware what you sign up for.

Tinder is strictly about looks (pics) and social status proof (popular Instagram etc) not high smv. That being said high smv guys generally do look good however on tinder you still need to be in the top 5-10% lookswise in your area to do well.

It is not an accurate depiction of real life. Coming from a guy that bounced at a popular club, I've seen countless traditionally good looking guys walk away with nothing over and over again. Many times the decent looking/average guys will be the one fucking at the end of the night cause of the mentality rather than waiting for action to come to them.
