About 3 months ago I matched with a HB9 Asian chick on Tinder. I ran my standard Tinder message game on her and asked for her phone number after about 10 messages. She refused but asked for my number instead. I assumed it was a soft-next by her and that I wouldn't hear from her. Fine.
Fast forward 2 months and I've forgotten all about her. I get a random text message from an unknown number. It's HB9 Asian. Surprise, surprise. And she wants to meet. Score. Now in an effort to not seem like a hungry beta, I tell her I will let her know when I'm available and I go radio silent. The reason I do this is because HB9s typically have men aggressively pushing for dates as soon as possible. I want her to experience my abundance mentality and start wondering why I'm not drooling over the possibility of a date with her like all of the other betas.
It works. She texts me this afternoon while I am working to tell me she is "at home, alone :/ " and bored. I tell her I would love to keep her company and can stop by after work. She says she will be at her girlfriend's place at that time, but maybe they will go out for drinks and I could join them. Red flag. I do not like the idea of her 3rd wheel friend being there so I tell her I will think about it.
She texts me again later telling me where she is and that she really wants me to come out. I decide even though it is 10:00pm, I'll go because I just want to meet this girl and see if she is plate material. I have no intention of getting the F-close right away with her anyway so a couple of drinks can't hurt.
The downtown bar she is at is about 40 minutes from my house. As I am about to exit the freeway to downtown, I get a text. "My friend isn't feeling very well and she wants to go home." I call her and tell her that I am literally 10 minutes away and we can hang out without her friend anyway. She'll talk to her friend and call me back. WTF? She doesn't call but instead texts, "Actually she wants me to drive her home. I'm sorry sweetie. Would you mind meeting me another time."
Now I'm pissed. I respond, "Well shit." and I turn my car around and drive home. As I'm driving she texts, "You're upset?" and I don't respond. She calls, I don't answer. I get home and I send her a text saying "I don't appreciate being jerked around." And she replies, "Jeez."
What is my next move here guys? I realize that it is possible her friend wasn't feeling well, but I think it is more likely that she just decided to flake out at the last minute. Do I cut my losses and next her because of this behavior? Or should I give her an opportunity to explain herself and try to meet again but without the friend in the picture? Any other feedback is welcomed.
