I got the gold because it said I had about 15 likes - there was a few trannies, a few HB5 and all the others were HB4 or below

But I just cancelled it at the end of the month - so basically I paid £12 just to be told I’m ugly LMAO

It made no difference for me. Making a new account was a bigger boost than any purchase.

Just good to remember that girls have super inflated egos on Tinder and only swip on guys above their SMV. Realistically in that 37, you have 20+ fatties, few trannies and maaaaybe few regular girls of which 1 or 2 might even be hot. And then when you match them, 1 in 6 will reply you back.

If you are hot and rolling in matches, it'll let you pick the best easily. If you aren't hot... Let's just say that tinder is brutal for guys who are not hot, the girls won't change their swiping because you paid for gold.

Oh, and gold pricing varies depending on factors like age (older = more expensive), popularity (you ugly? gold = expensive) and location (e.g. I got it for 3 bux a month while holidaying at 5 star resort in Philippines), among others.

Having paid for a few premium features on sites, I realized something about them. The matches that were hidden would have been hard NO on my swipes anyway. Additionally, there was something else I discovered (besides the amount of scammers being around 30% of the hidden matches) about those matches... apparently I have a type that likes me. It's fairly consistent and was indeed worth learning about because I realized who I was attractive to.

That was gold for me and I went into monk mode for an extended period to work on myself. I lost 70 pounds, switched careers, started several businesses, completely changed my life essentially. Cant wait to see the results post quarantine... I look and feel great about myself and what I've accomplished since the deep dive.

So, yeah, it was kind of worth it from a minimal investment that lead to self discovery. Not worth it from the perspective of finding out that those matches wouldn't have been a swipe right anyway. Your mileage may vary.

Never used tinder, but I do know that most things in this world are a fucking scam to trick the dummys.
