Just wanna share my recent experience.

Just started 2nd year of University. There was a new student (same age as me) whom I'm quite attracted to.

She's cute, good figure, but most importantly, smart, ambitious, has clear purpose and goal in life and very proactive in school. Independent, the type that goes out to get what she wants and make sure she gets it. Nothing less. She's juggling uni, part time work, student committee all at the same time yet still wish to take on more responsibilities. Honestly, a good ltr material.

However, I was too shy and introverted to escalate anything. We message frequently, I've went to a few uni events with her, specifically ask her to sit beside me for common lecture, but didn't escalate anything beyond that.

It's quite difficult as we only see each other in school once a week, and when I do see her, I was always too shy to approach, too pussy to say hi.

When I did finally asked her out to dinner alone, (honestly took way too long for me to ask. It was already 2 months since we met) she told me she is in a relationship with another friends of ours.

Reason being that that friend accompanies her to study on weekends, initiates convo with her, always said hi. Just all around spend more time with her getting to know each other (huge reason because they take all the same classes, and hangs out in school as a result)

She told me I took too long. Only messaged her and nothing else. Honestly, the feeling of knowing that I could have gotten her if I was more courageous just pisses me off. And now I have to try and rid my oneitis..

Don't be a fool like me. Don't be shy and too afraid to approach. Don't wait too long to escalate. Don't be a pussy. Don't take too long.
