I would a) stop playing video games and b) start learning programming languages on your own. College and high school don't teach you fuck all. You can net some solid 100,000+ programming jobs pretty damn easy with a degree and 2-3 years experience. Start interning for a company like Ge or something as soon as possible after you start college (they typically have programs where they take interns that are majoring in the field, my friend was making 22 an hour as a GE intern).

There is no such thing as a RP job but there are jobs that come with status. That's easy, doctor or nurse? Doctor has more status. Doctor or plastic surgeon? Depends but mostly will be plastic surgeon.

What you should be more concerned with is if you'll like it. Or if it's rewarding. I work in construction, specifically power lines, and even though we get paid to do it there is nothing quite like a 75 year old man thanking you for restoring his power on a cold winter day. So even though I should have went on a different path as far as money and status goes I enjoy doing it. It is not bad money, we'll above the median income for the USA. Status isn't bad either as far as construction work goes but it's no airline pilot.

So you've got some things to think about and then some Googling to do. You can look up the median salary for a lot of jobs. You may decide to make your own fate and start a business.

The most red pill job I ever had was lifeguarding. You're fit, have an automatic air of authority and you get to spend most days surrounded by women in bikinis. It makes practicing on them incredibly easy.

Even as a former lifeguard I still get respect, because I have life-saving training in a variety of areas.

College student here. Programming since 14. I can do practical work better than my straight A peers. I got contract gigs to help through college.

College is a waste of time for programming. If you do go to college, find something that'll let you focus on your social life and women.
