Some thoughts and questions on variety and hypergamy...

Hypergamy in females causes them to always be on the lookout for an upgrade. If she thinks she can do better than you, she will branch swing to the other guy with (a perceived) higher SMV.

But most of us are also constantly on the lookout for a hotter, younger, newer piece of ass as well. So what is the difference? The answers I've seen so far that seem the best to me are the following:

*that we as men value honor and loyalty, and are less tolerant of cheating or of kicking someone to the curb

*that when we see a hot new girl we want to add her to our stable while keeping the current girl around, whereas females will drop the current guy in favor of the new guy

Any other differences I'm missing?

Next, on the issue of variety... We obviously love it. We would fuck a different hottie every day of the week if we could. A 20 year old dude might go for years with a different girl every day if he could before he considered circling back for a second time with any one particular girl. At 40, maybe quality over quantity has set in and maybe a guy would circle back after a month or so. Either way if you ask any guy of any age what his ideal harem size is, it's going to be a number greater than one.

Do females want sex with a variety of guys? Post-sexual revolution they say they do, but of course we have to take that with a grain of salt. They say for instance it's good for a girl to "date" a bunch of different types of guys to "gain some experience" and "find out what she likes," etc. It's plausible that they would like variety in sexual partners, because all humans like a certain level of variety with food, music, daily routine, etc. But I'm not sure.

Most girls nowadays riding the CC in their 20s sure appear to like variety. But are they only repeatedly failing to lock down commitment from a succession of alphas?

Take two girls with equally high SMV. A guy is happily fucking one. Does he want to fuck the other one too? Yes, he wants them both. Now two guys with equally high SMV. A girl is happily fucking one. Does she want to fuck the other one too? Assume they have the same likelihood of giving her commitment. I don't know the answer.
