This has become somewhat common: get phone number from tinder chat, text a bit, add on snapchat and swap some snaps, then agree to meet up. It serves a couple of purposes for girls: more validation (even if she sends you snaps you're not guaranteed an actual date, she may have just acquired a new orbiter/snapchat buddy) and more security (she's getting to know you through words and images now too, and she can feel safer about accepting a date with you if you seem more "familiar").

There have been times when the pursuit seems futile. When she keeps stringing you along, you'll tend to become more persistent and even desperate. But you should be losing interest if she does. Right? Desperation shows weak frame. Match her level of commitment and don't overinvest. That's the first mistake some guys make: they know what to say on tinder to get the girl's number, they start texting, and the guy immediately shows signs he is overinvested. This is not only a huge turnoff, but the seemingly sudden change of heart on the girl's part will make the guy think "here we go, another flaker who just wants attention" when instead it was his behavior that made it all go south. You'll probably realize this when a girl does it to you. The person suddenly seems to get way too close and personal with your time and attention, and they start feeling like a burden. It may be your approach angle too. If you're too cold/direct about it or not playful/charming, she might not feel inclined to send you anything, and might instead gain satisfaction from seeing your increasingly desperate efforts to get a reply. Girls love doing this. Sometimes I'm with girls and their phone screens light up with a couple notifications from different ppl. Sometimes they'll look at the screen and let out a forced exhale or a moan that clearly says "this guy doesn't get the hint/won't give up." Girls are used to this shit by now. Guys at all kinds of levels of experience with girls are texting them all kinds of weird shit to practice their game, and the girls have all heard it before. Just. Be. Casual. "Grab a coffee sometime?"

You gotta read a situation and know when it's not attractive to pursue anymore. Pick your battles and don't overinvest.
