One advice that I notice frequently is not telling girls what you do for living. Because mystery, none of her business, you don't wanna be the beta bucks she will use and divorce and so on.

But ever since I'm trying this it just doesn't go well and basically messes up what seemed to otherwise be a perfectly good pickup.

Below is illustration of a dozen interactions, literally the same reactions repeat over and over:

ME & HER - interaction going good, she starts to show interest

HER: So what do you do for living?

ME: Living it up!

HER (smiles): No, I'm asking you for real.

ME: Well I'm telling you for real, don't you see I live it up right now?

HER: Oh, that's interesting, so basically you //do nothing/was born into money/have something to hide

Another version is where I say: ME: I have my own business

HER: Oh, that's nice! So what do you/your company does?

ME: You know, business.

HER: Yes, but what kind of business/what do you do?

That last question that gets repeated unlimited number of times, until the vibe is completely gone and I don't wanna interact anymore.

Girls who had a very nice conversation with me up to that point, seem to forget manners and get stuck on repeat. It becomes absurd!

Any attempt to move to another topic results in them coming back to that topic, making insulting guesses, or saying "well, I told you what I do, why wouldn't you tell me?" - which is a fair point, and reminds me of PUA advice, where my regular self would meet girls who like me, and mess it up by saying stupid/illogical stuff some nerd marketer advises who should maybe learn from me.

1) How do you handle the "What do you do question?"

2) Is simply just saying it really something that will repel a girl who otherwise liked you (the only kind I'm interested in anyway)? Man I remember at 20, this was simple. I'd say what college I'm at and that's it. Conversation moves on.

Now at 30 it seems to me as if profession is something people use to "box" you as rich/poor/interesting/boring. I'm not my profession.

I do have an exciting hobby, which is also a profession in it self, although not yet profitable enough to be my main job. Should I simply say that instead? Few girls I told it to seem to get excited.

But then they bore me trying to find out more about that, and it takes away from my joy to tell every random stranger, who might be a freak for all I know: "Sure, here's my website!"

Thanks in advance for your responses. I'm really trying to learn from The Red Pill, so I only ask you because it's a sticky point for me, and maybe some others too.
