There’s 3 types of criminals. Mad man, desperate man, and the very rare bored gentleman. E.g., the Joker, kid from Money Monster, and Thomas Crown. Each one has a reason for taking risks, breaking social norms and the law. If you don’t fit one of those profiles then you should probably chill and use your knowledge to slowly improve your standing in life.

Consequences with the law. So much data is recorded about us on the regular that it would be very difficult to never slip up. It's more peaceful (for me at least) to largely live within the law instead of always be worrying about being caught.

What's your anchor that keeps you from turning into Heisenberg or Joker tomorrow?

Because in real life, the odds are astronomical that you will either end up doing a life sentence with zero possibility of parole, or dead, and if you're fortunate enough not to find yourself in one of those two camps, you'll probably be living a life of all-consuming paranoia, not sure who's going to catch you first: someone on the side of law-enforcement, or someone else from the criminal underworld.

Also, if you've ever dealt with a low-life for real (ex. getting assaulted/mugged, having a friend or family member shot at or shot by a gang-banger), you'll likely see that way of life in an entirely different way.

If you still remain unconvinced, check out this execution video right here by a Mexican cartel (who don't fuck around) and tell me who in their right mind would choose this kind of life provided they have an alternative to do something, anything else that isn't a life of crime.
