I am not interested in casual sex. Not only do I find the idea really not that appealing but also I am paranoid about stds and I do not want to risk my health for nothing. What I'd like is a serious relationship with a girl who is not a whore, or a sociopath.

First relationship that I had lasted 3 months. Got dumped for a bullshit reason("it's a personal problem that does not allow me to have a relationship for now"). Few weeks later I have the awesome opportunity to see her making out with the fucker that she left me for in front of me.

The stories here are not encouraging either. I only see examples confirming what I already suspected before finding TRP. Women leaving when shit gets hard, cheating, all that good stuff. AWALT, "it's not your girl, it's just your turn", I understand. But I am not interested in that. I want my girl and I will not settle for "my turn".

Should I just go MGTOW instead? Have you got experiences in which women actually cared for you and stayed when things were hard?

The pain that came after that breakup(2 years ago) made me lose productivity in the long run. If I am to draw the line, the effort that I put in to even get a girlfriend in the first place was huge, and the reward was suffering and loss of productivity overall. As that Trump meme says, "This has been the worst trade deal in the history of trade deals, maybe ever"
