You can play out whatever scenario in your head all day but truth is you have no idea wtf is going through other peoples head.

A lot of dudes just have a resting bitch face. They may not be sizing you up but just lost in thought and happen to be looking your way.

The majority of communication is nonverbal. If you're avoiding eye contact then you're missing out on most of the picture. You're also missing out on choosing signals from women.

Also when you're having a conversation with someone you need to maintain eye contact at least intermittently. You don't have to stare a hole through someone's soul. Just start doing it and you will find a natural balance.....Sounds like you have some anxiety issues so you need to practice this.

If you never bother to look you won't know. A quick glance is all it takes. You glance at her and see if she glances back or catches your eyes. If she does you either hold contact or wait and try for a second contact..... If you get second at third eye contact that's a clear signal to go in.

It's just a quick glance. You aren't staring at her.
