I would say that 2+ hours away is where it can create problems. Within that range you should be fine.

LDR is more about how often you meet than how far the distance is. If she flies from Mexico to Denmark to meet you five times a week, sure it's technically long distance, but it doesn't really matter does it? If you meet 2-4 times a month, you're fine. If it's more like 6-12 times a year, you might want to reconsider whether you're in a relationship or just a texting buddy.

I live in a city where 30min is considered a quick commute to work and 45 is considered average. But I've lived in areas where 30min was considered a long drive and far away. It depends on your city.

It sounds like you're chasing commitment when you should be chasing plates. Can she pop over and suck your dick whenever you like at that distance? If so, good. If not, keep looking.

For me, if oh girl lives more than 45 minutes away, it's a LDR. If it's an LDR, not worth it. 30 Minutes away for me is no problem. I've dated 2 girls who were that distance. I'm not exactly sure why I feel like 45 minutes is the cut off, it just is.

Are you out of your mind? You are considering dropping a girl just because a bunch of strangers on the internet warn you about the dangers of a LDR and you are not sure of they apply to your situation?

What does it change if people convince you it is a LDR or it is no LDR? Nothing! If it works in your favor, it is fine and you should keep it like that. If things start to turn bad, maybe even because the LDR problems arise, than you can next her.

Why the hell would you end your fun with her, without having problems with her, just because some stranger says it is a LDR? Especially in a community that constantly tells boys that they should not spend time with girls, if it is not directly leading to sex.

Why would you do that?

If she's farther away than you'd be willing to drive for work then it's entering ldr range.
