I have some female roommates and one male roommate who is feminine . Early on in my stay they said some insulting things about me/mocking me. I brought it up with them that I found it offensive and the best they could bring themselves to do was to say that they were sorry I didn't find their shit funny. I'm only bringing this up based on the "Solipsism Isn't Just a River in Egypt" thread. Is it a common thing for women to not feel the need to own up and give a proper apology.

Have you guys had alot of experiences where women said or did something where they were completely wrong and they twisted their words so that they didn't give a proper straight up "I'm sorry about xyz that was fucked up it won't happen again?." Is this a woman thing or is it just a gender independent thing lousy people do in general?

Have you guys ever had this happen when you know that if you did the exact same disrespectful bullshit to them they would go off the wall? Is this type of thing common? It drove me crazy for a few weeks and I still can't respect any of them because of it.

For anyone that has had this experience, how do you deal with it? I got so pissed when it happened this time around because it put me in a position where its a waste of time to talk about it anymore in hopes of closure because obviously they're full of it but I can't just let them get away with disrespecting me and act like everything is fine.
