youtube remains a great a resource for learning, and promoting thought, ideas and discussion. whether it's a simplified explanation of a school of philosophy, or a demonstration on how to do the perfect pull-up, there's a lot of good, free shit out there, that can enrich and empower us.
what channels do you think are mandatory viewing for TRP users? i tend to ignore the channels that explicitly discuss TRP material - that's what we have the subreddit for - and find the most valuable are those have content exploring one particular facet of what it is to be a RP man - fashion, fitness, social dynamics, finance etc.
here are my recommendations:
academy of ideas - videos explaining the ideas of history's great thinkers. digestible, with great accompanying artwork, if not a little dry in delivery, and nicely marrying philosophical and psychological principles
athlean-x - great fitness and exercise tips, and the host appears well-educated. no bro science.
charisma on command - hit and miss. some of their stuff is shit, trying to get people to model the behaviour of characters from tv shows and movies, but other stuff is absolutely fantastic, particularly for the art of persuasion in 1-on-1 situations
computing forever, sargon of akkad and stefan molyneux - all broadly similar, holding a RP lens to current affairs, politics and popular culture, and examining the increasing dominance of the left and the state of the world. again, content can be hit and miss, sargon's 'akkad daily' channel produces way too much content to be consistently good, and stefan molyneux loves himself a bit too much and some of his ideas won't be palatable to everyone. but again, plenty of good shit. sargon of akkad recently did a 60 min critical discussion of the 1993 movie demolition man, which turned out to be a scarily prophetic vision of today's world
coach corey wayne - i haven't watched his new material in years, and he's gone onto other tangents like politics and economics, but he has hundreds of videos on dating and attraction, and the first few years of material is gold. it's basically the sidebar in video format. his videos and his book, 'how to be a 3% man', dramatically changed my life
i'm yet to find a single good channel on finance - everybody loves to talk about money, and i find content is either absurdly dumbed down, or massively bloated, but either way generally useless.
i'm also curious if there are any great DYI / essential skills channels - videos that teach you how to do basic, but important things - change a tyre, unblock a drain, pick non-toxic mushrooms, find fresh water in the wild, etc. maybe such a channel doesn't exist, in which case, sounds like a niche waiting to be filled
