I came to a few conclusions after quite a bit of experience with women and examination of what attraction means for me and other men. This was especially apparent in reference to the HB scale many men use, as well as cultural differences about what beauty is defined as (I have traveled a lot).

The conclusions were the following:

-Many men know what they find attractive but they don't know why.
-Some men value a woman that presents or enables high status.
-Some men value a woman that presents sexual attraction or enables desire.
-A woman that presents both is almost always the most valuable for a complete man.

There are more categories than these two but they seem be the overlying selection bias for most men. (assuming personality and connection are a must)

As real world examples: In South Korea, many Korean men prefer women that are extremely skinny, prone to plastic surgery, and not openly sexual. I find that this is because Korean men generally value social value earned from a woman far more than sexual attraction, especially when quite a few of them relieve sexual urges with women they pay or sleep with for only a night.

In Latin America or among American black men, on the other hand, many prefer curvier women with strong sexually desirable features such as wide hips, large breasts, big butts, small waists, etc... These men seem to value sexual attraction and fulfillment far more than social status earned through a mate. In some cases though, the sexually desirable woman is also the high status one.

Even though a skinny super model might earn a guy the most social status, when many guys ask themselves if they would ultimately want her as the ideal mate they say no. On the other hand, an extremely sexually desirable woman, very curvy and intoxicating, with tattoos all over her body and a less than average face may be a woman a man loves to sleep with but again, is she the ideal mate?

Assuming good personality and connection as a given, a well-balanced individual who ultimately ends up very happy and satisfied will usually choose the woman who offers the most of both. I think there are far too many of us that are quite unbalanced in modern society and favor one or the other too much (especially social status).

To the men of Seddit, where do you stand as far as what you find most attractive in a woman?
