Hello and thank you for reading my post,

My name is Nick. I am a 28 year old veteran who recently returned to school to get my Bachelors. I am very much an introvert. I have never been good with groups of people and "going out" is not really something I am in to, so meeting people is really hard for me. Having returned to school, I am actually around people. They are all younger than me by about 9-11 years, but age doesn't mean much to me.

So here is why I am writing this. In my chemistry class, there is this girl, Amber, that I have taken a liking to. She sits next to me and we chat throughout class. She laughs at my bad jokes and is very nice. Since we first started talking, she now recognizes me in the hallway and always makes sure to say hello to me and gives the biggest smile. I went to ask her what she was up to one weekend, but my complete lack of confidence made me come off as a dork. Also, the other day she was saying how much she could use some coffee. A little while after class, I ran into her while she was studying and I asked her if she wanted me to pick her up anything since I was going for some coffee for myself. She said the usual "no thanks, i'm good".

So, am I a weirdo trying to hit on someone 10 years younger than me, have I got no shot given whats already passed, and what can I do to test if she actually likes me or is just a really nice person?

TL;DR: I like a girl 10 years younger than me, I have no self confidence, how do I see if she likes me?
