I don't get this post. Of course new guys here are desperate for girls. A lot of them aren't getting laid. A lot of them have never gotten laid. If "Game" wasn't a means of attracting girls, then nobody would give a shit about "Game".

It's a means to an end for some guys, because socializing and social skills are not the goal, rather the goal is to meet women and have carnal relations.. might be PI to say it this way, but I figure Maslow is a guy who's much smarter than I am, and his list of basic human needs is pretty damn solid.

In some cases, the social angle is simply not going to work no matter what (think of those with autism or deep introversion, etc.) So yes, that means the "immediate goal" is not improving social network and status, in the hope that at some point, women "just come to you." The goal is actually to get women, simple as that.

It's just the way it has to be for some guys, IMHO.

Well yeah, it's good to have some idea what you might do. But it's a bad idea to tell newbs to think of this in terms of steps.

The truth is simpler and more complex, as I'm sure you know.

In two "steps":

Be present. Pay attention to the girl because so much of what you will do or could do, is based on how she's responding. This is often the most difficult step; a lot of guys have no issue putting themselves out there, but no clue how to adjust to a changing situation because they aren't present, they're in their heads thinking about "steps."
Put yourself out there. Do stuff. Push the envelope or take a soft touch based on her responses.

Everybody starts off desperate for girls. That's what attracts people to a community like this.

Eventually, either they evolve because they see no results and think their approach is the problem. They find success and crave more success so they approach game from a different perspective.

They can also never see results and quit.

However, telling people not to be desperate isn't going to magically make them stop being desperate. They have to come to that realization on their own. And if they don't, well then they can just enjoy never finding success.

Learning to not be outcome dependent is a part of becoming attractive. But you do have to learn it.
