So many of us less outgoing/more insecure guys have a lot of trouble maintaining eye contact during conversations. I was this way to the max. I could barely look my dad in the eye when speaking to him about normal bullshit. Then I decided to change that. I'm in college, so I'm in the audience while someone is speaking publicly a lot. I've gotten much better at maintaining eye contact by holding eye contact with my teachers when they look at me. Good public speakers make eye contact with their audience throughout their talk/lecture or whatever, so just hold the eye contact until they break it to look elsewhere. A bonus is that you aren't in a conversation so the eye contact will inevitably break, also there is virtually no sexual tension here. This really worked wonders for me, and I hope it does the same for you.
