Who says you have to be bold to show romantic/sexual interest? If you do it at a bad time, she'll leave... if you don't do it at all, that's a bad move too, you need to be moderate, give her hints that you like her and want to see her again, then calibrate your actions depending on her response. You either escalate or you step back, and if you don't know when to step back, you're better off not doing it at all and just playing it safe (not bold as you said).

Get more comfortable with expressing your feelings with physical touch. Your physical touch should increase with the emotions you have for people and the emotional states you are in. It runs a spectrum from greeting someone with a hug, touching someones arm when they make you laugh, holding their hand when you like them, kissing them when you are into them, to having sex when you're really into them. You can practice by being more physical and emotional with people in your life, hugging your sister, tell your Mum you love her, touch a mates shoulder when he makes you laugh, etc.
Enjoy the interaction, stay relaxed and have an awareness of your feelings, her thoughts and feelings. You do not think about outcomes very much at all, never in a negative sense. The only outcomes you think about are in the context of an "us" and you'll take initiative to make things the best for everyone. She's single, you're single, you're on a date, kissing / sex are good things. Ideally you want to have some general backup plans before the date, so you can execute if things are going well.
