I always seem to be at a loss of words when I see a girl I'd like to approach then it seems as if my brain right on cue thinks of something as I walk away saying nothing. I remember David Wygant saying, just talking about the situation you're in, what you see, etc.

Case in point:

  1. As I was parking to use an ATM yesterday, I see this girl already at machine, very pretty, so I go inside and wait for her to finish, I say nothing, she leaves. 1 minute later, I realized I could have simply started with, "Either you're lost or just worried someone's going to jack your car (her window was open)"

  2. Today at Hollister, another pretty girl, as she is ringing up my purchases, I say nothing, but 1 minute later I realized I could have began by asking, "How do you work here all day with the music so loud...I don't even think I'd be able to think" (Walk into any Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, etc. type stores, they all had loud music playing)

Stupid brain not working when it needs to, any tips for overcoming this? Also, how were my two "openers" in terms of getting a conversation started?
