Alright.
So, i'm (26M) in my final year of university. I decided to pick random housemates for my house. One of them "E" (who is also in their final year, 25F) and myself started talking, we both found each other attractive, so we started dating. At first, we told each other that we would me mature about it, take it slow, and come to each other with any issues to ensure the relationship sticks. This is because we were both looking for something long term and we are housemates. At the start, everything going fine. We had plans to spend Christmas together with my family (as she has no family in our country, she is foreign, im British she is Lithuanian).
There were a few things about her that I didn't like or agree with initially, such as veganism, minor self harm (not cutting), and mental health issues. I told her I would compromise on the vegan thing, and that self harm doesn't really bother me too much. She also said that she hasn't self harmed in a while as she has had therapy and its working. I was there for her when she felt down or depressed.
Also, she, at 25 years old was a virign and has never had a relationship before, when we started dating she her virginity it to me. Myself, I've had sex with 13 women, and I've been in multiple long term relationships and short term relationships. I am much more experienced than her, and I am genuinely looking for something long term (a life partner as I want children some day).
Just before Christmas, one day she was fine, the next she was acting off. I asked her what is wrong and long story short, she breaks up with me, giving stupid reasons such as "I want to go to Africa (by herself) to save the children" and "your room is messy". Her reasons for the break up are stupid and illogical. (a lot more was said, but there would be too much to type here).
When I got back from Christmas, we started talking and she was willing to make serious changes for me. She started by saying "im so sorry" and "I want this to work out" and "I was wrong about many things". She is quitting her drugs, she is planning on becoming vegetarian instead of vegan, after I told her facts and statistics about Africa she admitted it is a dumb idea. She also told me "I missed you every day" and "I love you".
Recently, she has let me know that she is going to Milan (with her male classmates) for her birthday. When she initially discussed it, I asked "Could I come?" and she said "I guess, it's just sightseeing". But I actually can't go because of my intense university work. I think this idea to basically ditch me to go to Milan, is extremely disrespectful and inconsiderate, as I have already started making plans for her birthday. She is basically showing me that the acceptable price for ditching me on her birthday, is a trip to Milan with her male classmates. When I confronted her about it, she lied to my face by saying "its a part of my course" which I know is bullshit. It is NOT a mandatory part of her course, its more like a social outing with sightseeing.
So not only have I told her how I have been treated by women in the past (not good at all), she ruined my Christmas, and now she is ruining my plans for her birthday too. Am I going crazy here or is this unacceptable in a long term relationship where they supposedly love you?
