Does anyone here approach or advocate approaching during rush hour, particularly in NYC or other major cities? Some experts say it's not advisable since they can feel trapped or put on the spot so they're more non-receptive. I've done it a handful of times when I was first starting out on approaching and though I've gotten two dates on there, it's still nerve wracking and have generally experienced more awkwardness and embarrassment than its potential worth. Sometimes I see someone I really want to talk to and I hold myself back due to societal constraints/etiquette, or there's just too many damn people around. What are your thoughts on it?

If you do it, do you have certain guidelines e.g. no girls with headphones on, only ones looking around, only when they make eye contact etc...
