The game is the same either way. What kind of relationship you get will depend on how you handle the relationship after you've picked her up. RSD Tyler has a good video about this: basically the idea is that if you get good with women in general you'll have the power of choice and can pick the girl you want to be in a relationship with, instead of just falling in to a relationship with the first girl who comes along.

as long as you're not faking it during those initial stages, you'll be good. well, you'll be no worse than you otherwise would, but you'll be meeting more potential partners (which is better).

if you misrepresent yourself to get them into bed, you're shooting yourself in the foot, though.

relationship tips:

when she hints/asks for your attention, give it. even if you're busy, give her your attention long enough to tell her you're busy and need a few minutes/hours/whatever. never ignore her. this is like, 95% of a good relationship.
don't leave negative things unfinished. if you have an argument, try to resolve it as soon as possible. on the spot, if you can. that doesn't mean you have to agree with them, it just means that you can't end the conversation with "let's talk about it later".

The techniques and environments are the same for casual or serious. I'd avoid drunk girls though. either for serious or casual, you need be clear in your intent, and screen women for their intent. I wrote about this here:
