Also, this may be a superiority complex, but whenever I tell people about my job(s) and they can begin to sniff out my higher-than-average-23-year-old financial status I feel as though they get really disengaged and inferior. I hang at a lot of hipster spots where most people are in the service and blue collar industries and most make under $40k a year.

I personally would hide that shit, and not mention where you live at all. If you have your budget set up then just give yourself an allowance and everything else goes into savings, 401k, bills account, so You have $X money for 2 weeks, or the whole month however you want to split it but keep it meager. $500-$1000 range IMO

When you do bring women to your place, tell them it's a refurnished rental and you chose the decor out of a catalog.

You should not be ashamed of your money, but you sure as shit better be careful with it and who knows about it. Money turns people into fucking greedy, petty, self entitled assholes!
