Thank you so much for the advice. And just for more context i have good social skills but i sometimes get anxious in front of women i consider beautiful.

And i just can't understand how to approach her like most of the time when I reach that common floor she's either eating or leaving with her team.

And i have lots of doubts 1. Like what if I appear as another guy approaching her. 2. What if I become just a joke (coz there's lots of people there) 3. I have approached women in past but that's generally during some sort of parties, or some random places but those places ar where you'll be temporarily but in the office anything can lead to awkwardness. 4. How should I even approach her when she is surrounded by her team and while she's eating.

I'm kinda new to these things please consider these newbies doubts

I would just make a small remark “hey what’s that on your plate? It looks good.” 9 out of 10 she will say what it is. Then tell you whether she really likes it. I usually leave it at that. No need to introduce your name. The thing about seeing her regularly is you can slowly get to know her. Next time you see her say something like “I’ve tried what you had the other day. It does taste good.” That’s it. No need to take her extra time.

Regarding your doubts:

Most guys don’t approach women. So that will leave maybe 1-10% of them. And these guys who approach usually do it in a cringe way. If you just do what I’ve said earlier, it will leave you unlike the other guys. Because when you do that you don’t insinuate that you’re hitting on her, just making a small talk by asking about her food. You treat her like any other person.
You’d only become a joke if you said something blatantly cringey like “oh you’re so hot” or “can I get your number?” right away as an introduction at a work place.
Work colleagues, neighbors, gym girls, are in different settings. Meaning you get to see them often unlike the ones you see in a club or at a random party. So obviously the way you approach them gotta be different, too. For people whom you meet regularly you can slowly cook it.
Just make a small remark here and there like my example. In 4th or 5th interaction you can just say something like “hey we’ve talked before but I don’t get to know your name. I’m ____, what’s yours?” Again just leave it at that. Afterwards you then can call her by her name. A couple more interactions down the road if everything goes well, you can ask her number. This will go even better if your next interactions you can expand your convo to not just food at a cafeteria or any work-related stuff (like her hobby, what she does on weekends), so you can use it as a context to ask for her number.
