Experience is the key to success.

Dating and seduction are skills that you need to practice and develop over time. I’ve been working for about 9 years to get as good as I am today, and I’m only decent. So don’t be discouraged.

The biggest thing to work on is getting comfortable talking to people. Focus on listening, reading body language, honing in your sense of humor, and developing your own sense of self.

A lot of guys are terrible at talking to women, they are boring, awkward, and are only chasing tail and those things are so obvious to women.

If you feel like you are already good in conversation, make sure your style and looks are at least to a good standard. You don’t need to be rich or wearing gucci clothes, just put some thought into your outfits, groom yourself, and get in shape.

You also want to work on the initial approach, breaking the ice naturally is pretty challenging but it is a great way to just get things flowing.

Leading an interesting life is also crucial. If all you ever do is play video games, then you’ll struggle to sound cool when women ask you what you like to do for fun. Go out and do interesting things and collect good experiences and good stories. Pick up a book, find a creative hobby, find something that you can express yourself with.

Work hard and get successful in life. Nobody wants to date a loser with a dead end job. If you are working an unsexy job but it has a high growth potential in an actual career path, then stick it out, trying to become a famous rapper probably won’t work out for you if you are living in Nebraska.

Failures should be seen as lessons. I always viewed it as if I meet my ‘wife’ in a year I don’t want to fumble it because I don’t know how to talk to her. Just keep going and improve for yourself nobody else.

Bill Ackman’s advice actually isn’t bad: walk up to a woman, ask her “may I meet you”, and go from there. If you’re new to meeting women and visibly nervous feel free to mention that, they might actually be charmed by the honesty. IMO just getting some conversations under your belt and learning that women generally won’t bite your head off will go a lot further at this point than trying to juggle a bunch of “theory” in your head and confusing yourself. Go into it with an attitude of play and experimentation. Life is a playground, not a standardized test.

If you think this is stupid advice, all the better. Go in with a goal of being silly and getting blown out. The lack of investment in the outcome might actually work in your favor.

That’s all the “approach” advice you need for now. Other than that just focus on building the best version of yourself.

Get yourself a copy of "The Venusian Arts Handbook" 2nd edition by Erik von Markovik.
IMO it's the gold standard. Over a week, I read it and watched the Mystery Method (5 DVDs). At the same time I also joined a seduction lair that had meetings every Saturday. Being in a lair is good because you always have like-minding friends, aside from your own circle of friends, to go out and practice.

Study some theory, but don't overthink it, put it to practice immediately... On the weekend following my ebook/dvd "training", I went out with a few guys from the lair to a bar. My first cold approach ever was Erika, a cutie that I talked to maybe for 5 minutes before getting her # and bouncing. Erika was my first date ever that didn't randomly happen, I did it, and I was so happy. Of course I was still a total newbie and screwed it all up on the first date but I remember my first baby steps very fondly ;)
