First time posting here, anywho... I work at a local party bar, by the graces of God, as a bartender. I was always shy and introverted all through high school but managed to still get around. Once college started I would go to class and then leave, no social stuff. So I'm still pretty awkward and shy, but I managed to get a bartending job anyway.

Well, I still have trouble just putting myself out there for girls, unless she is giving off huge signs that she likes me. Don't get me wrong I've only worked there for about 5 months but I've managed probably 10 girls numbers(keep in mind I'm basement-nerd level shy). The thing is, when the other bartenders and I get that camaraderie mindset and get chicks to stay after and dance around naked it's no problem for me to stop them at the door after last call and tell them to stay. Yet when it's a one on one, me trying to take a girl home or just get a number, I still chicken out 90% of the time.

I find it very awkward to spit game at a girl while serving her a drink if she turns me down or is indifferent to my advances because now there is a situation if she comes back for another drink. Any tips on getting over being shy?

EDIT: also a potential AMA: I have taken girls home and gotten numbers while working, but I still feel I'm too shy at the moment. But any questions on how it works(to the best of my knowledge and experience) behind the bar, I can answer.
