Oftentimes you can hear that being a "mysterious" man is attractive to woman. That would imply not disclosing too much information about yourself and being a rather quiet type. I'm myself however a very extroverted person and will often dominate the discussion with stories, anecdotes, opinions and ideas. I wouldn't talk about every detail of my personal life, usually about things I find interesting and that fit well within the general context of discussion. I oftentimes do most of the talking.

How does one reconcile being mysterious with being outgoing and socially dominant? I thought both confidence and sense of mystery were the attractive traits. Some materials online suggest that in order to become more mysterious you need to limit your social presence, talk less and so forth to create that spark of interest. On the other hand it is also often noted that in order to be attractive you need to be socially dominant, confident and being an extrovert like myself would help. So what's the right balance?

In other words - what being "mysterious" really means and how can I be both mysterious and outgoing at the same time. Of course I guess that being overly demonstrative with your feelings kills your attraction - fortunately I don't do so. But I tend to share my hobbies, projects, plans - not in every details because I wouldn't have time to and only if it fits the context. I've been having successes with this attitude (which feels natural for me) so far but I'm thinking whether I couldn't be more successful if I avoided disclosing too many informations about myself.
