I have really good eye contact. I rarely ever feel the need to look away or look down. I love eye contact and looking at someone's face regardless of gender.
However I feel like a lot of people are intimidated by my eye contact. For example, I am trying to be polite when a coworker or manager is speaking to me, I listen carefully and hold strong eye contact, saying "yes/mhmm/right" to confirm what they are saying. Sometimes I can hear their voice start to get shaky, they start speaking faster, they start looking away, they start joking and smiling for no reason to break tension.
What is goin on here? There are only a few guys that I have not felt this uncomfortable vibe around and I would consider them pretty "Alpha".
On a side note: I don't believe I am being too creepy or aggressive with the eye contact. I am simply looking at their eyes/face and nodding while they speak to me. I think they are feeling self conscious that such a handsome guy is actually listening to every sound they make and watching every facial expression they make, and I THINK they think I can see through their "fakeness"(the fake "oh hi! How are you?! Happiness bullshit).
The reasoning why I don't feel the weird vibe from alpha males is that they are not putting up a fake front. They are being themselves most of the time so there is no inner worry of being "detected". In other words we are both being "real", and the vibe is just good.
Anyone relate? Thoughts? Opinions?
