First off I'm not positive if this is the right subreddit so I apologize. The other day, one of my exes friends who we used to hang out with frequently, messaged me completely out of the blue and asked me if I'd ever want to have sex with her. The last time I talked to her was probably about 6 months ago so it definitely caught me off guard and I was really skeptical at first thinking it was maybe just her and my ex screwing with me. But she was being 100% serious.

So this got me thinking, has anyone ever tried this before with any success? What's the best/worst case scenario for asking a friend blatantly for sex when you've had no past sexual relations?
