Here's some game that I've been piecing together. We've all experienced flakes, some of us have even gotten to the place where flakes are the norm, and follow through from girls is the exception to the rule.

I've developed a small system that seems to reduce the flake rate.

It's always been said on here that flaking is due to lack of rapport (or lack of attraction!), and you have to build some amount of comfort before a girl will go to see you.

There are a lot of strategies that focus on making sure your initial approach was spot-on A-game, but not a lot of posts focusing on the reality, which is that not every approach ends in an F-close, or even a K-close, and sometimes logistics stand in your way.

So here's my trick to building rapport via text. This works great in scenarios where the time between initial meetup and subsequent meetup is too long (like a week), or if you got a number but haven't secured a date yet.

Obviously, to start, good text game requires you to reciprocate text delay. If she's slow, you need to be slow too. Cannot appear over-eager.

Do not send messages that show interest, instead, use texts to build rapport.

I like to send periodic texts. Wait a few days in between and send something like, "I just broke the zipper on my jacket!"

It's not needy, a little funny, and sparks a short conversation with no demanding overtone (like, "so when are we getting together", which becomes demanding and she'll likely be turned off).

If she responds to your one-offs, I'd do little games. Here's one I used just recently due to my cold:

Me: I just realized why people spend extra on tissues with lotion!

Her: Nose sore?

Me: Terrible!

Her: lol

Me: Let's play a game

Her: what kind of game?

Me: Truth or dare

Her: What? Over the phone?

Me: Pick one

Her: Truth

... And so on. Go through 2 or 3 rounds. Make sure that the dares are funny and interesting, and demand that you "set it up" so the dare takes place next time you see them. I typically choose not to sexually escalate during rapport building.

That gives her an investment in you, builds rapport, and makes her less likely to flake or go cold by the end. I'd ask questions that make her qualify herself to me, like "What's your best quality?"

By playing that game, you also ensure that you're both in your frame, because you don't simply respond to texts, you steer the conversation.

This gets her used to conversing with you, and gives you plenty of inside-joke material for when you get together.

Obviously seal the deal after a good back-n-forth, something like, "geez I didn't realize how alike we are! Let's get coffee tuesday"

Sometimes a particular text from her might derail your train. Something random like "I can't wait to get home to my puppy." Girls send the fucking least on-topic messages sometimes. My plan of attack is usually to ignore them and push through. Example:

Her: Truth? Ok what's your longest relationship?

Me: Longest? Well let's see, I think a few years

Her: lol wow commitment guy.

Me: She used a strong sedative

Pause

Her: lol. I can't wait to go home to see my puppy

What the fuck? How is this relevant. Push forward

Me: Truth or Dare?

Her: Truth

And so it continues.
