I’d say that’s pretty good. A lot of users won’t come close to that number. I’m assuming you’re located in an urban area also, which increases your chances immensely.

I didn't think about living in a urban area tbh. That's a good point

90% of bumble first messages: hey

"hows your week?"
[–]ThisPlaceIsNiice 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Still much better than hey. A "how has your week been so far?" always allows me to show some value and wake interest.
Still low effort, though, agreed.

I straight up ignore boring questions or ones I don't want to answer in lieu of something more fun. I've learned that with this type of stuff you can simply change the convo to whatever you want.

Good to know you’re trying to evolve.
In general I avoid OLD apps for dozens of reasons, but it’s fair to try by your own.
That said, keep in mind some of these points:
Try, and let us know ;-)

competition is REALLY HIGH (maybe 10-20+ men for each girl?)
In what hell do you live where that is the case? When the dating sites & apps publish their man:woman ratio, it is usually between 6:4 and 7:3. I'd be really surprised to see one where there are 10 or even 20 men for each woman.
But yes, the rest of the point is correct. Competition between men is fierce.

Wait, I didn’t talked about raw subscribers genres ratio. Each average-to-good looking woman has dozens of hits at a time. This means that on average, you’re competing with at least 10-20 guys for each woman you like.
Raw numbers don’t speak for themselves. You’d need to keep into account their activity, orientation, the assigned OLD-score, the number of swipes, matches, age, etc.... saying the M/F ratio is 6:4-7:3 is not enough.
My reasoning becomes even more accurate when the male user is not in the top 10-20% of handsome guys: the girl that happened to match with you is chatting on the same app with another bunch of guys, the amount of attention she gets is insane, while the amount of attention she can give to each guy (including you) is near to zero. Even if you have decent/good textgame, your opportunities are shrunk anyway.
That’s how the 10-20:1 comes in.

Ah you mean the number of active contacts they have at the time. Yep, I agree in that case. That's why men should go out and approach, approach, approach to level the playing field. We need to work hard for what many women get by default, but it is what it is.

I've deleted all my profiles. In my opinion it's lazy game. To truly build attraction and escalate that day, you need to be there in person.
I can't tell you how many times girls have flaked even though I know i could have kept them in set irl.

Why would you not have both? Don't put too much stock in OLD but it is GREAT for learning. Learning how to text, getting easy meetups and lays to practice. Lots of flaking but it's a numbers game.
Profile is CRUCIAL.
But yes, Bumble is easier because they show interest. However tinder in my experience is for straight up hooking up, and you should definitely take advantage. On bumble i don't really count it as a "match" unless she opens you.
Be aware that these apps use algorithms. They don't just randomly show everyone everyone else. I believe that tinder in general adjusts the quality of the "Cards"(girls) they show you based on kind of a ranking system. If you're regarded as a "7" by their algorithmns, and by the girls swiping on you, they generally won't show you, for example, girls that are ranked as like a 4 or like a 10. They'll show you girls that are like a 6-8. Tinder Plus is worth it IMO. A few bucks per month and you get unlimited swipes, boosts, and the ability to change location before visiting there which is great for vacations.
Things you can do to improve the hotness of the girls you come across: use it often and message often, don't have a super high rate of right swipes, be picky about it. The quality of the girls swiping right on you will improve the hotness of girls that are shown. This is another reason why profile/pics/bio is important.

I'm an Asian male and not the pop star looking Asian guy so... I get nothing from apps. Good luck to you though!
