The thing is that I have a hard time guessing the girl´s age before approaching. Maybe she is 13, maybe 19. Should I bother even approaching or will it be a loss of time?

Wrong attitude.

"Seduction" isn't something special that only men who want to have sex, do uniliterally to women.

It's simply being social. And socializing without bringing your goals to bear immediately, is better anyway. If you're concerned about only interacting with people you could bang, then you're missing the point, and building a mindset that will screw you over in the future.

It doesn't matter if she is 13 or 19. Just interact with people. Make connections. It doesn't matter if she's 19 or has a boyfriend or is elderly. For that matter, it makes no difference if it's a dude. Interacting with people has the chance to build connections. And connections provide opportunities for better things. Better jobs, better dating, better relationships, and overall, a better life, etc.

What can ruin this? Approaching interactions with the mindset of only being concerned with whether you are going to get that short term hit you want at this very moment. Or being primarily focused on socializing with girls, while ignoring guys altogether.

You're under the legal age of consent in some places in the world. If you live in a place where the age of consent is 18 or 19, then don't try to have sex with people over your age; don't be that guy. Don't try to game girls over your age; getting a little pleasure at the expense of inciting someone to do something that will potentially affect the rest of their life...... not cool.

Probably but you're going to run into problems because technically they'd be raping you depending on where you live. That's gonna weird some/most people out.
