TL DR - you can mix techniques, but not styles. Direct is you chasing her down, and she lets herself get caught. Indirect is messing with her head so that she chases you instead.

The long explanation.

You can be physical with the girl right off, and then not be - sending a mixed message, which is intriguing to the girl and gets her to chase your validation. That's indirect, even though it looks direct to guys that don't have much experience.

The RSD boys love to literally pick girls up off the ground. It doesn't get more caveman, "you woman, me man" than that. But it would be a mistake to think that they're running direct jock game.

But the two models don't really mix on a deeper level.

Indirect is about getting the girl to chase you, by
- giving her a reason to talk to you.
- not chasing her validation.
- qualifying her
- being disinterested.

In girl speak, this is flirting. They run hot and cold all the time. Psychologically this is intermittent rewards. That's what gets guys hooked - does she like me or not?

So indirect often uses their techniques against them. She has to win you over, but the funny thing is that you weren't on her radar at all. Mind fucking, get her mind first, body later.

"What is he going to say next, I have to find out, and I'm willing to jump through hoops!"

With indirect, she can be unsure if you really like her even while you're fucking her.

It is not like she "enjoys" the tension per se, but it keeps her engaged in a way that direct does not.

Direct is not that.

Most direct you can be, is making eye contact, taking her hand, and going behind the bushes.

There is no confusion with direct.

You come at her strong, and she's going to comply or not comply. She looks you over, and then reacts emotionally.

You still need to win over the friends, deal with haters and competition, get her out of the venue, then pace her arousal so that she doesn't get last minute resistance. Most of the time she's not going to do the logistical work that comes with sex - that's your job. Girls like to show up and be pretty.

All guys should learn direct first, to understand the strengths of that model, and where it fails. Plus you have to work on your appearance, assertiveness and confidence in order to get success with direct. Guys that start indirect first, run into mental blocks about escalation.

This is an age old argument in game.

Direct and Indirect both work.

The key is to understand the underlying mechanism behind game.

Imagine you irrevocably decided you will do whatever it takes to make enough money to afford your dream car.

And I mean a car you currently think you can only dream of right now. i.e. Lamborghini Aventador, Lykan Hypersport, Pagani Huayra, Koneigsegg Agera, McLaren P1, something like that.

Imagine going through everything you need to get that. All the sleepless nights, all the time and money you spend developing your skills, all the fun things or material things you miss out on, all the stresses of trying to climb the ladder or of getting your business off the ground and managing it, etc.

This goes on for a huge chunk of your adult life before you finally make enough money to afford your dream car.

Then the day finally comes. You get to the dealership, you sign the papers, they finalize everything and hand you the keys. You then hop into your newly purchased car and drive it home. It handles like a dream.

Then as you're pulling up to your driveway you notice something weird, a car that looks exactly like yours parked right in front of your house.

When you get down, you learn that it also belongs to you. You won it at a raffle that you forgot you signed up for.

Now this question will teach you what the game is all about: If you could only choose to keep one of the cars, which of them would you choose?

I'd venture to guess that you're gonna keep the one you paid for.

Why? Because its more than just a fancy car, that car represents the years of challenges and struggles you went through to get it.

That's what the game is all about. As long as you can get girls to put in work to get you then you're doing it right. This can be achieved going direct or indirect.

Understand that any purist of indirect or direct is simply a novice, even if that person is a coach because there is no regulating board for dating coaches. Anyone that is a good marketer and has decent cold approach skills can be a coach.

So don't judge a book or seduction method based on how many people think it works, judge it based on whether the things it tells you to do will cause the girl to put in a significant amount of work for you because that will cause her to not only want to have sex with you but cherish you the way you would cherish a dream car that you slaved away to get.

It's a tough question to answer but I think you have to focus on the underlying concepts that each method is actually using.

Emotional spikes, teasing, abundance mentality, physical escalation at the right time, logistics, being able to game a group and understand group dynamics. All of that is similar / required for success no matter who teaches it.

I'm sure girls know what's up with mystery method because he still approaches and invests a lot of time (seriously it sounds made up nonsense to me it's so ridiculous, and his timeframe for a lay is a lot longer than I have done before many times even as a clueless novice) with the stuff like showing photos and telling stories and magic tricks. But his game is still using the principles of emotional spikes, DHV, kino, logistics, groups. It comes down to how you use these things with your own personality, hence a lot of guys probably come off really creepy which killed it as a mainstream thing when they wore the fuzzy hats and read the exact lines from the book without adding any personal touches.

Try to take away something important from each book or programme you read, rather than thinking you have to live every step, because it's all what some guy you will never meet did and that's not you.

After you've read a few books, time in the field will give you much better gains.

I like to figure out a sticking point (currently for me that's flirting / being sexual), then research just that topic. You'll get a few different viewpoints, a few real world lines and examples, and figure out how the underlying concept works and make your own version.

That’s because any “method” is bullshit and outdated. The mystery method is stupid and so are many others. You gotta learn the pillars of game my bro. Read books and piece together things you like and add your own shit to make your own method.
