Met a woman in an Uber pool, tried to connect a few times until I finally got her to come to my standup show. She had a solid time, we hung out after, smooched, made plans to meet back up in a few weeks after I returned from an international trip. During the date I let slip my age (25), and she texted me hers after (38), said I didn’t care and was just glad she’s a cool person.

Flash forward to after my trip, I text her, she says she had a great time but that “the age difference is too much for what [she’s] looking for” right now. Honestly I get it, although I was kinda hoping it could’ve led to some more fun before it fizzled out. Texted her that and told her to hit me back if she changes her mind or was into something more casual, she said that was sweet and “sounds good.”

Any thoughts on how I could’ve salvaged it, seddit? Or was it right that I just let it lie.
