Competition theory

Thinking of it as a competition seems narrow and counterproductive. Do you get more/better chicks soloing or with a tight set of wings? When I go out, everyone is my wing, I am everyone's wing.

There are billions of girls so there isn't a limit on the number of quality girls you can get. You helping others helps you in every case. This is a game of abundance.

Competition is also the wrong state of mind/frame to go into a social setting with. You want to be relaxed and care free, outcome independent.

"I guess realizing that life is competition and seeking every advantage." Yes, you should seek advantages but those advantages don't come at a cost to other people. This isn't zero sum. Good work produces benefits for all society. You getting laid, being happy, is a net good for all of us, and has important ripple effects. We wouldn't be in here, sharing our exp, "secrets" and knowledge if competition in the social market place worked as a zero sum game.

A few weeks ago someone had a post about what seddit was about. and they explained it's about understanding both women and men better so people can have healthy relationships. Whether that be brief, or long term. monogmous or poly.

Having a feast or famine mindset, where one person's gain is another's loss. Isn't productive to that goal. And it doesn't bare out logically unless thinking short term. For instance, game and game theory, sucked 20 years ago. Now way more people are into it, and it's evolved, it's more nuanced, effective, and self aware.

We can all have satisfying relationships. Some random bloke at a bar isn't going to stop you from attaining that. So don't think in those terms. It's too short sided and outcome dependent.

This also applies to the job market. There is no end to the amount of work that needs to be done in this world that people are willing to compensate you for. Yes, there is one specific job that could be filled. But when you're looking for work. You shouldn't be looking for one specific job. Your goal is broader than that. Your goal is to do good work in a field you're interested in. Likewise, networking and being social is a quicker way up the ladder, and does more societal net good than a cut throat approach.

My view hasn't really changed. When I go out I want to have fun and meet people. I interact and befriend both men and woman.

Yes you might be competing for the same things but that doesn't stop me from becoming friends with them and wish them good luck on their hunt. I feel that if you see them as the enemy and try to get an advantage through dirty tricks you only set yourself back. Girls pick up on it and your best chance is to stay friendly with them.

If I'm talking to a girl and a guy comes in he either does one of two things. Either he interrupts our conversation and clearly wants to steal the girl. If I don't let it phase me and either ignore him or point out that he is breaking "social rules" I come out as the winner in the girls eyes. If he comes in politely and introduces himself to us (or even opens me first) I stay friendly and might even get him in on the convo a little (while still leading ofc). It shows I'm not scared of other men and am confident that I am the better choice. If he gets annoying I might politely ask him to leave me and the girl alone so we can continue our convo.

When you are playing a sport you are also competing against your opponent but it's a friendly competition. You shake hands, wish them good luck and let the best man win. Then afterwards you grab a drink together and talk about game and how much fun you had.

In general if you try to fight the competition directly you lose the game. You have to play by the rules and respect your opponents until they disobey the rules after which you can call them out and win the game (and by winning I mean the girl choosing you over him, not fighting or getting him to leave).

One thing my dad taught me since I was just a little kid was that competition doesn't matter if you are good, because there will always be opportunities waiting for you; so, work on yourself, on being a better man, and life will be great for you. Slack off and you'll be in trouble.

The game of life is not about beating other people. It's about self fulfillment, being happy with yourself and living a great and memorable life. It's all on you and doesn't depend at all on other people.

Yup, Ive started to find it easier to differentiate between (for want of better adjectives than 'alpha' and beta') men who have game and men who simply do not. Its subtle, but its very much there.

Well, I wouldn't say all men are competition. Those I see that have no game and are clueless (the typical AFC), I try to point them to seddit. Those who seem natural and GGG, we take turns winging each other (there are plenty of women for us, usually we're not interested in the same). The jerk/fake confidence ones/assholes, I AMOG and wreck their game like there's no tomorrow.

Basically, help those with potential, guide those who have lost their way, obliterate the fallen.
